Furama Resort Danang runs culture and food events

The Furama Resort Danang is hosting a Viet Nam-Japan culture and food festival until on July 16 and a photo exhibition until Sunday.

The Viet Nam-Japan culture and food festival introduces over 30 delicious dishes from three regions of Viet Nam, including my Quang (Quang Nam-style noodles), goi cuon (vegetable rolls), nem lui (grilled pork paste) and bun cha (noodles served with grilled meat balls and fat and lean meat), among others. Foods are priced from VND30,000 to VND60,000 a dish.

A highlight of the event is a booth to introduce fresh-made moon cakes with chocolate, almond and tiramisu flavors made by Italian artisan Francesco Carmelo Mino.

A photo exhibition themed “Danang Xua” (Danang in the old days) featuring 40 art works will debut on July 16 at the resort. Audiences to the event can admire images of people, landscapes, and ports in Hai Chau and Son Tra districts in the past.

“We want to build up Furama as a tourism ambassador to promote unique traits of Viet Nam’s and Danang’s culture and gastronomy to international travelers. Our annual food festivals and painting exhibitions which have received feedbacks from tourists are our great courage to hold upcoming events in near future,” said Matthias Wiesmann, general manager of Furama Resort.

It is expected that Furama will hold numerous events, including Thai and Mexican food weeks, German beer fest, and Hanoi night to mark the National Day, Halloween night, Thanksgiving and New Year celebrations and a rural market on Tet.
